Edward William Jackson Sr. was born on 28 January 1846 in Lexington, Kentucky.
He was a dairy farmer before 1878 in Lexington. He died on 17 October 1909, and was buried on 20 October 1909 in Lexington.
Edward married Delilah Culverson (daughter of Robert Culverson and Martha) in December 1878 in Lexington.
Delilah was born in Clara County, Kentucky on 2 March 1854.
She was educated between 1865-1873 in Rose St. School in Lexington, graduating in 1873.
Between 1873-1879 she was one of Kentucky's first negro school teachers and worked in the towns of Lexington and Winchester.
